This year’s Miss Universe 2024 beauty pageant, which took place on November 16 in Mexico, was not without scandals. After the results were announced, the competition’s viewers began to claim that the winner from Denmark, Victoria Kjær, stole the title from Suchat Chuangsri, a representative of Thailand.
According to the Daily Mail, such opinions are actively expressed by fans of the competition on social media. According to them, the answers to the final questions of the Phuket (Thailand) native were more accurate than those of her competitors.
When asked what qualities a person should have to be a true leader, Suchat Chuangsri said: “Empathy, because no matter how good you are or what kind of education you have, at the end of the day, you need empathy to take care of your people.”
These words resonated strongly with the audience. So when Victoria Kier won, many angry comments began to appear online.
“Miss Thailand was robbed. Her answers to both questions were right on target!”
“Miss Thailand’s crown was stolen.”
“Her victory was stolen. Best answer ever”.
Suchata Chuangsri, who took fourth place at Miss Universe 2024, decided to participate in the beauty pageant to raise awareness of breast cancer. At the age of 16, the beauty was diagnosed with this cancer and underwent a complicated surgery.
On November 16, Mexico hosted the final of the international beauty and talent contest Miss Universe 2024. The winner was 21-year-old Danish representative Victoria Kjær. Answering the judges’ questions, she said she would not change anything in her life and advised the audience to “keep fighting… no matter where you come from.”
