One of the most famous winners of the Miss Ukraine beauty pageant, who won the title in 2001 and represented our country at Miss World, Oleksandra Nikolaienko, was spotted at the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump.
She is married to Trump’s longtime friend and business partner, 89-year-old billionaire Phil Ruffin.
The couple were honored guests at his inauguration, which took place in the Capitol rotunda in Washington, D.C. On January 20, journalist Ira Solomko Bonenberger, as well as a number of other media outlets, published photos of them at the event.
For the ceremony, Oleksandra chose a grey checkered outfit with a cape jacket and complemented the look with a black turtleneck, a wide belt and leather gloves of the same color.
Odesa native Nikolaienko represented Ukraine at Miss World 2001 and was among the top 10 finalists. Later, she won the Miss Ukraine Universe 2004 and represented Ukraine at an international pageant in Ecuador.
Participation in the pageant brought her into the circle of Trump, who was the owner of Miss Universe at the time. It was he who introduced Ruffin to Nikolaienko. The couple married at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s private estate in Palm Beach,in 2008.
Today, the businessman is 89 years old, and his wife is 42. They have two children: son Richard William Ruffin (2010) and daughter Malena Ruffin (2013).
Phil Ruffin owns the Treasure Island Hotel & Casino and Circus Circus Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, as well as other hotels, casinos, race tracks, oil and real estate, and has long been a friend of Trump’s.
According to the NYP, in 2018, the businessman helped Trump pay legal bills arising from the investigation into Russian interference in the US presidential election. The billionaire also financed Trump’s campaign for the 2020 presidential election. His contribution amounted to $1.5 million. In April 2023, Ruffin donated $2 million to Make America Great Again.
Nikolaienko herself owns an elite spa at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino in Paradise, which belongs to Ruffin.
