What is “The Thousand Blows” series about?
This is a story about two friends, Hezekiah and Alec, who emigrate from Jamaica to London in search of a better life. They find themselves in the world of underground boxing, where they have to fight for survival. Hezekiah quickly becomes famous for his boxing skills, but this also attracts the attention of influential people, including Sugar Goodson, played by Stephen Graham.
Mary Carr, a legendary robber from the 40 Elephants gang, also appears on their path, and she has her own plans for the newcomers. She invites them to become part of a large-scale robbery that could change their lives forever.
