So, her wedding look consisted of a lush veil with huge turquoise-blue feathers, as well as a Vivienne Westwood dress (structural corset and multi-layered hem) made of ivory silk satin. Undoubtedly, it suited her… And if any real-life woman has similar preferences and character, she can be inspired by the idea from the movie.

1. Chiffon dress with embroidered flowers
American actress Grace Kelly (since 1956 – Princess of Monaco, wife of Prince Rainier III of Monaco) in 1956 starred in the movie High Society as the bride Tracy Samantha Lord. During the wedding ceremony, she wore an incomparable dress with floral embroidery and a heart-shaped neckline, a puffed hem and translucent puff sleeves. The look was completed with short silk gloves, satin shoes and a hat with a bow. This stylish triumph is the result of the work of American designer Helen Rose. She managed to create a piece that harmoniously complemented the sensual character of the heroine.
2. Minimalist dress with a fluffy hemline
British actress Audrey Hepburn played the role of a modest saleswoman, Jo Stockton, who became a popular model in the movie Funny Face (1957). In one of the fragments, this character advertised a wedding look created by the legendary couturier Hubert de Givenchy. These are natural pearl earrings, silk gloves, a short veil decorated with a small bow, and, of course, a midi wedding dress with a fluffy hem and an hourglass silhouette. The accent of the look was the lips painted with crimson lipstick. Every detail perfectly emphasized Ms. Stockton’s fragility and grace.
3. One-shoulder dress
Australian actress Sarah Snook appeared in the film The Dressmaker (2015) as the dreamy Gertrude Pratt. The character’s wedding look was created by designers Margot Wilson and Marion Boyce. It is a delicate one-shoulder maxi dress reminiscent of the clothes of ancient Greek goddesses and a golden tiara with flowers. The draping on the fabric correctly emphasized the bride’s graceful silhouette, and the shade of the dress enhanced the accents on the bright red lipstick and red hair.
4. Fishtail dress
In 2009, the American actress Anne Hathaway starred in the romantic comedy “Bride wars”. Her character, Emma Allen, who has a volatile personality, wore a restrained yet spectacular dress by Vera Wang at her wedding. The design of the dress is timeless: it features silk fabric, a fishtail hem (also called a mermaid or godet), and a Carmen neckline that exposes the shoulders and collarbones… The shade of champagne emphasized the natural skin tone of the actress, and the look was completed with a long veil, minimalist jewelry and tiny blue flowers in her hair.
5. Dress with fancy sleeves
The American actress and singer Jennifer Lopez took on the role of the mysterious Darcy Rivera in the comedy romantic action movie Shotgun Wedding (2022). In her wedding dress, created by couturier Galia Lagav in collaboration with costume designer Mitchell Travers, the heroine looked stunning. It was an ivory-colored dress with lowered fancy sleeves, a puffed hem and a silk belt in the shade of “coffee with milk”. The look was complemented by a long veil decorated with lace. American actress Kristen Stewart became famous for starring in the Twilight movie franchise, based on a series of novels by American writer Stephenie Meyer. It consists of five films that tell the story of the romantic relationship between teenage girl Bella Swan and vampire Edward Cullen. In one of the episodes, namely in the movie “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Part 1” (2011), the main character appears in front of the guests in a delicate wedding dress. This is a long translucent veil and a fitted dress with an ivory train by Carolina Herrera, the sleeves and back of which are decorated with small buttons and floral lace.
7. A dress decorated with feathers
In 1967, the French actress and singer Brigitte Bardot starred in the movie Two Weeks in September as a model named Cecile. How did the on-screen bride look like? In the bold style of the 60s: a loose-fitting maxi dress with translucent long sleeves by Tanine Autré, decorated with marabou feathers, and milk kitten heel shoes. The outfit organically complemented the actress’s hairstyle and her lively personality.
