Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, joined forces with Maroon 5 vocalist Adam Levine to fulfill the dream of a 15-year-old girl who lost her home in the wildfires in California, USA. She received something special to give to the victim.

In a short video, Markle emotionally shared on Instagram that she had received a gift for the girl in the mail. According to her, during a trip with Prince Harry to Altadena, one of the most affected areas, they met a mother and her daughter who were trying to find something among the ruins of her burned house. The teenager’s most valuable loss was a t-shirt from a Billie Eilish concert that she had left in the washing machine.

“All she was looking for in her house was a Billie Eilish T-shirt from a concert she had just gone to that she had left in the washer or dryer,” Markle said.

Before that, she had promised the girl personally that she would return the lost T-shirt to her: “I don’t know Billie Eilish, but I’ll figure out a way to get you that shirt.” She turned to her celebrity friends and with their help was able to convey the message to the singer.

In the video, the Duchess showed a bunch of T-shirts, autographs, and souvenirs from Billie Eilish, which were specially signed for the injured girl. She also thanked Adam Levine and his wife Behati Prinsloo for their help in organizing this surprise.

“Thank you so much, Billie Eilish. This is going to mean so much to her. And, honestly, to Adam Levine and Behati, you guys have helped us go over the top. Just thank you so much. I’m going to write a letter to her mom,” Meghan Markle said.

In addition, she expressed her gratitude to all those who support the people of California as they deal with the aftermath of the fires.

The video was Meghan Markle’s first personal Instagram post since her return to social media in January. Fans noticed that during the recording, she wore a sweater with the names of her children – 5-year-old Prince Archie and 3-year-old Princess Lilibet.
