Ingredients:

  • beets – 2-3 pcs (300-400g)
  • potatoes – 3-4 pcs (300-400g)
  • carrots – 1 pc (large)
  • herring (fillet) – 2 pcs (350-400g)
  • apples – 2 pcs
  • onions – 1 pc
  • mayonnaise – 200-300g
  • salt

For the onion marinade:

  • 2 tbsp of vinegar
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • 0.5 tsp of salt
  • 0.5-1 tbsp of water (cold)

Method of preparation:

1. Cook the vegetables, peel and grate them. Grate the apples too.
