The iPhone 17 may have a new generation of displays: what is the difference

The next Apple presentation, when the 17th generation of iPhone smartphones will be unveiled, is still almost a year away, and detailed information about the new products is still not freely available. However, leaks already give some idea of what the Cupertino tech giant is preparing.

For example, bloggers with access to insider information are starting to share some details. Thus, the account of Jukanlosreve on the social network X (formerly Twitter) published some details about the screens of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max.

According to the blog, Apple plans to introduce technologies that “improve battery efficiency, maximize display durability, and improve overall performance over existing display technologies.”

At the same time, the blog post contradicts earlier rumors about the screens in the next iPhone line. In particular, the informant points out that the future technology will be different from LTPO+, which was mentioned earlier. Prior to that, leaks had rumored that all four iPhone 17 models would be equipped with LTPO+.

According to Jukanlosreve, it is Low-Dielectric TEE. It is likely to be installed on the new Apple smartphones.

Earlier, it was also said that the iPhone 17 Pro could get a 6.3-inch screen, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max – 6.9 inches. Some observers also suggest that in the next generation, even non-Pro smartphones will be able to offer a significantly improved screen refresh rate of 120 Hz.
